Connals is an amazing neighborhood joint that needs to stay in business forever. The people that work there are super sweet and the food is amazing. We got the turkey sandwich and Philly cheesesteak and ice cream. Everything was a 10/10. Definitely coming again!!

Solid fast food joint that has a huge selection of different options. They have breakfast, burgers, sandwiches, plates, Mexican food, and more. The double cheeseburger was hefty and a nice balance. The pastrami grinder was also well made and very tasty. The fries were a bit too crispy for me but still complemented the burgers nicely. You order outside at a counter but they have a decent seating area. Staff are very friendly as well.

I learned about Connals from a local resident. After reading the reviews I had mixed feelings but I'm glad I stopped by. The carne asada fries are DEELISH!!! The fries were fresh, carne asada was tender and the serving is enough for two people. My most favorite part was the guacamole. OMG the guac was fresh with just the right amount of spice. I'll definitely be back.

My husband and I were driving back from running an errand and saw this place so we decided to stop by and grab some food. We had the Pastrami sandwich and antipasto. The sandwich was delicious with flavor and proportions.

Happened to be in the area and wanted some sandwhiches and asada fries on our way home. It’s the classic old school take out type food. Don’t expect anything fancy, but they do it right here. Saw some nice reviews on this place and I definitely agree. This place had a constant line of customers when we were waiting for our food. Parking was easy. Ordered through a street side window. Looked like the dining room was closed but it didn’t matter to us. Staff is very friendly and seemed very accommodating to peoples orders. When we were in line, a customer nicely recommended the #1 and all of the grinders to us since I guess they could tell we first timers here It was a good recommendation since we opted for and really enjoyed the pastrami grinder. Surprised with how much lettuce was in it, gave it a nice crunch. I love the bread We also got the cheesesteak. Both sandwiches has plenty of meat, not too salty. The zings were delicious. Always worried with fried stuff they’d be overly greasy and salty. Not the case here. Zucchini was soft on the inside, crispy and not salty at all. Onions was deliciously sweet. Asada fries were delicious as well. Asada was tender, plenty of guac and I enjoyed the jalapenos in it. Good portion to share. The fries were fried perfectly crispy but you definitely need to eat this right away We’re not in the area often as it’s a bit far north for us, but if we are, I will be back

Love Connal's and have been going for years. For some reason, though, this past Friday we discovered our usual order (#4) to have much larger buns and significantly less meat. Like everything else in town, I worry quality is on the decline. Hoping it was just because we came in after the lunch rush hour and they were low on some ingredients that particular day.

A classic, old-school, LA style diner and takeout spot. This place has been around for so long because it’s consistently good in every aspect. The food is fresh, service is great, prices are reasonable, and it’s a convenient way to grab a quick lunch. The grinders are all great, especially the original combo. Tried the chicken Parm special for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. Also, don’t sleep on the fries. They definitely hit the spot.

This is a small (covered outdoor seating for 12-16 people around back) walk-up hamburger joint with additional things on the menu, including some Mexican items. The food here isn't the best I've ever had, but it's definitely good for what it is. Service is nice enough, prices are alright, and it's decently quick with getting your order out. It can get busy depending on when you go, so keep that in mind. I've been here a few times and always try something new each time, and everything has been good. This time I got chili cheese fries, and a bean and cheese burrito. The chili cheese fries were pretty good -- nice size portion, and a slight sweetness to the chili. These fall a bit short in comparison to The Hat, for example, but were still good. The burrito was great, with a healthy amount of cheese. The beans are good, but nothing crazy. Overall, I enjoy this place every time I come, and do recommend trying it at least a couple of times. That being said, to be perfectly honest, I do think it's slightly overrated.
